Misdemeanors and Petty CasesEdit

A Misdemeanor or Petty Case is any case in which the charges are limited to any combination of the following:

  • Practice of Forbidden Magic - 3rd Degree
  • Grand Theft - 3rd Degree
  • Artifact Mishandling - 3rd Degree
  • Negligence of the Vault - 2nd Degree
  • Assault With Offensive Magics - 2nd and 3rd Degree
  • Magical Hindrance - 2nd and 3rd Degree
  • Alchemical Abuse - 2nd and 3rd Degree
  • Temporal Recklessness
  • Conjuratory Negligence - 1st and 2nd Degree

Proceedings:Edit

In the case of a Misdemeanor or Petty case, the court will be made up of:

  • Minister of Justice
  • Balif
  • Defendant
  • Attourney (Optional)
  • Witnesses/Audience (Optional)

The Minister acts as Judge and Jury in these cases and hands down the appropriate penalties.


High-End CasesEdit

A High-End Case is a case that consists of any of the charges not mentioned under Misdemeanors and Petty Cases. High-End Cases require more formal proceedings.

Proceedings:Edit

In the case of a High-End case, the court will be made up of:

  • Minister of Justice
  • Balif
  • Defendant
  • Attourney (Optional)
  • Prosecutor
  • Jury (Selected by Minister of Justice)
  • Witnesses
  • Audience (Optional)

The Minister acts as Judge during the proceedings.

The Proceedings follow this schedule:

  • Minister Reads Charges
  • Minister asks Defendant how they plead
    • If Guilty, skip to sentencing
  • Prosecution Opens
  • Defense Opens
  • Prosecution Calls 1st Witness
  • Defense Cross-Examines
  • Defense Calls 2nd Witness (If Applicable)
    • If not applicable, repeat Prosecution calling 2nd Witness
    • If 2nd Witness not Applicable, skip to closing
  • Defense Closes
  • Prosecution Closes
  • Jury Votes
  • Minister Announces Verdict
  • Sentencing
  • Adjourn
